The long-running case of Digital Cinema Network v Omnilab Media took another step forward yesterday, with the Federal Court setting an April trial date to determine the damages that Omnilab must pay. DCN is claiming damages of $75 million for the lost opportunity of developing a Virtual Print Fee scheme for Australasian independent cinemas.
